BREAKING: STIPE MIOCIC OUT OF UFC FIGHT NIGHT 76 CO-MAIN EVENT AGAINST BEN ROTHWELL

MMAOddsBreaker.com can now officially confirm UFC Heavyweight Stipe Miocic was forced from his forthcoming UFC Fight Night 76 bout against Ben Rothwell because of an unspecified training accident. Both top 10 fighters were scheduled to throw down in the co-main event of next Saturday’s (October 24, 2015) event in Dublin, Ireland, that is headlined by the lightweight battle involving Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier and will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. Miocic (#3 ranked HW) was coming off the very remarkable performance of his career, a fifth round TKO stoppage of former title challenger Mark Hunt where he set a UFC heavyweight record for most strikes landed in a single fight. He’s won four of the last five fights with his only loss being a decision against former winner Junior dos Santos. Rothwell (#7 ranked HW) is currently riding a three-fight win streak which comprised surprising first round angry stoppage victories over both Matt Mitrione and Alistair Overeem. There’s been no word as to whether UFC matchmakers will be able to get a last minute replacement for Miocic or if Rothwell will be forced off the battle card.
