Daniel Negreanu Once Lost $1.2 Million in a Single Day on the Golf Course

Negreanu recounted two specific situations where he dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars on the program. The first has been a 580,000 loss to a group of poker players that are old-school. The next was a magnificent $1.2 million loss to great buddy Phil Ivey.

This was not the end of Negreanu’s golf experience, yet. After golf coach Christian Sanchez, Negreanu was able to turn his game around and says that he actually made back the 3 million and is now in the black when it comes to gambling on the golf course.
Sanchez helped him select on games that he could beat helped Negreanu navigate the golf gaming world.
In among Sanchez’ first encounters with Negreanu the pair and with a golf match played for about 50,000 a hole. Among the”best day ever” stories happened in a game Negreanu played with Phil Ivey and fellow poker pro Joe Cassidy.
Ivey had been 65 yards out and wanted to bet against Cassidy. Cassidy said he’d give him 200-1 about $1,000 to produce the shot. Ivey picked up an easy $200,000 and nailed the shot.
There’s not a great deal of action one of the poker community around the golf course these days and the games have died out.
