Davies Jr vs Ritson: Martin Bakole stops Kevin Johnson in the fifth round in Newcastle

Kevin Johnson resistance broke to force a stoppage of their American veteran in Newcastle.
Bakole generated continuous pressure to become the third man to stop his 40-year-old opponent, although together with Johnson replacing the injured Gabriel Enguema the heavyweight was made to cope with an overdue change of competition.
Johnson had shot Daniel Dubois the space in a points loss this past year and was pleased to stay tucked up with a shell as Bakole probed for openings using a cluster of punches.
But the former world title challenger revealed signs of distress in the next round, turning away following a sustained assault from Bakole, who started to land his own right hand.
Since his head jolted back with a series of punches to force the referee’s intervention, johnson’s tight guard could unravel in the fifth.
On exactly the invoice, Lawrence Osueke was made to settle for a split-decision draw with Ricky Summers.
While Summers gained a 96-95 dent in his own favor osueke received a verdict against among their judges, and the third made it a draw that was 95-95.
In the day, Kieron Conway floored Konrad Stempkowski about the road to a points victory.
