William Carson banned for six months

Jockey William Carson has been banned after testing positive.
His suspension has been backdated to start from April 4 – eight days following the sample obtained Lingfield from him was found to contain the banned substance benzoylecgonine.
His ban runs to October 4 – and as long he also receives clearance by the medical team of the British Horseracing Authority and as his riding licence has not expired, he will able to resume his career next month.
Winner and traditional winner Willie Carson’s 29-year-old grandson, carson, obtained confirmation of his punishment at a BHA disciplinary board hearing Thursday.
Since April 1 Carson has not ridden With no winner. His biggest career success thus far came aboard Regal Parade in the 2008 Ayr Gold Cup.
