Hull’s Angus MacDonald overwhelmed by support after cancer diagnosis

Hull defender Angus MacDonald has thanked the”football family” to their aid after he was diagnosed with the early stages of bowel cancer earlier this month.
The 26-year-old had just recently returned was sidelined for nearly a year due to deep vein thrombosis.
MacDonald revealed until which time he intends to go traveling, he will undergo a performance at a fortnight.
He said in 2 messages on his Twitter accounts:”Thank you Soccer family – I’m totally overwhelmed with the support which has come my way this past week.
“Literally thousands of messages which I am taking time reading through now (Thursday) and It really has given me a massive boost.
“I have a few weeks until my first op, therefore I’m likely to love some time travelling and soak up as much positivity as I possibly could.”
MacDonald, who appeared in April 2018 for Hull, signed to an undisclosed fee in January 2018 by Barnsley, but he’s made only 13 league appearances.
The Winchester-born centre-half progressed through Reading’s academy and also had loan spells at Salisbury, Basingstoke, Torquay (double ) and AFC Wimbledon.
MacDonald was released by studying in 2013 and had stints at Salisbury and Torquay, until Barnsley signed him for an undisclosed commission in 2016.
