Johanna Konta: British number one to miss Asia tournaments and WTA Championships

Johanna Konta so will not be able to meet the requirements for the season-ending WTA Championships and won’t play any tournaments in Asia this fall.
The British number one has pulled in the China Open in Beijing due to”slight knee pain” and did not enter next week’s lucrative tournament in Wuhan in China.
She is following expected to play in the middle of October in Moscow.
Konta, 28, is currently 11th in the yearly WTA singles race.
The top eight players qualify for the WTA Championships but the next 11 – a wildcard – are all qualified to compete at the Elite Trophy.
Konta remains very likely be eligible for this particular case, which is staged at October’s end.
