NHL Season Props: Player Points

Although the lead-up to the NHL season does not reach quite the fever pitch that is achieved during NFL preseason, puck drop is nearly here, and I couldn’t be more excited.
BetOnline has hockey baseball bettors this season by releasing a comprehensive list of player point props. Here I’ve broken down a number of my preferred OVER/UNDERs on the board but be certain that you check out the NHL tab on the home page to find breakdowns of all the season futures, team previews and other fascinating material.
The Anaheim Ducks did not start quacking until the second month of the season this past year which was awful for its production of players such as Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Both finished with 62 and 63 points in what was Perry’s worst points per game season since 2006-07 and Getzlaf’s worst because 2011-12. In the three seasons before last, Perry and Getz both averaged to a point a game. If these two stay healthy — they always have — their collection point totals will be eclipsed. What Connor McDavid managed to do in his inaugural period last year was absolutely extraordinary. He also scored 48 points in 45 games and has been anointed captain of his group. BetOnline has pegged him with an O/U stage total of 86.5 and that I don’t think that it’s ridiculous to endeavor this kid as a 100-point scorer. Connor does something electric every time he touches the puck and really had the second-highest points per 60 minutes among gamers that played more than 12 games. The dude is effective and could easily lead the team in scoring in just his second year as a pro.Connor’s linemate, Jordan Eberle, is the most likely beneficiary of this McDavid show and is in line to have a career season. The right-winger’s O/U right now is 59.5 and, frankly, it may be the easiest money on the board. Ebs had 76 points his next year at the league and he also did that playing alongside Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. RNH is good, but he’s certainly not Connor. Another checkmark about the OVER facet of the prop is that the hole left from the Taylor Hall trade. Hall had 65 points playing on the Oilers’ top line and also his spot has been filled from the lumbering Milan Lucic. Eberle is installed very well to break the 40-goal markers for the first time in his young NHL career.
