Diaz pairs his striking skills with a phenomenal floor game which has led to 11 of the 18 career wins coming via entry.
Despite his strong ground game, Diaz is not able to genuinely utilize it thanks to some bad wrestling match. It seems that Diaz will often try to taunt his opponents into a position where they go for the takedown and he can do his work. Though his striking sport is solid, it is far from ideal as it involves a simple attack with few unpredictable elements.
Can Diaz submit McGregor? Yes. Can he get the opportunity to? Not likely.
