Cejudo (14-2) is coming off of 2 shocking wins. First, at UFC 227, he finished the dominant reign of Demetrious Johnson and won the flyweight belt with unanimous decision. Then, in UFC Brooklyn in January, bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw was going down in weight to carry on Cejudo. In the end, the flyweight champion knocked Dillashaw outside in just 32 minutes to defend his title. The Olympic gold medalist also has noteworthy wins over the likes of Sergio Pettis, Jussier Formiga, and Wilson Reis, amongst others.
Moraes (22-5-1) is riding a four-fight winning streak with wins over Raphael Assuncao, Jimmie Rivera, Aljamain Sterling, and John Dodson. There is a clear path to success for both Cejudo and Moraes in this fight. In the event the flyweight champion can utilize his Olympic wrestling because he did against Johnson then he will grind out a decision triumph. To get Moraes, he wants to utilize his explosiveness to stuff that the takedowns and keep Cejudo at a range where he could pick him apart with his jab.
